This summer, Lakeshore Recreation doubled its pickleball court capacity by adding 8 new courts, bringing the total to 16. This expansion provides more playing opportunities and enhances the overall experience for players. The addition of these courts demonstrates Lakeshore Recreation's commitment to meeting player needs and promoting the sport in the region. It marks a significant milestone in the area's pickleball evolution, offering a dynamic environment for players to enjoy the sport to the fullest.
Our community hosted two remarkable tournaments this summer. The 'Grey Bruce - Big Brothers/Big Sisters' fundraiser showcased skills and supported a noble cause. The 'Pretty in Pink' event honored a friend's memory, celebrating camaraderie and love for the sport. Both tournaments emphasized sportsmanship, generosity, and community spirit, highlighting the power of sports to bring people together and create meaningful experiences.
Lakeshore also hosted the 'Taylored Pickleball Academy' clinics led by professional coaches. Participants received personalized instruction, honed their skills, and engaged in friendly competition, promoting community and fostering lasting connections among players. The events aimed to inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds to discover the joys of pickleball.
We eagerly look forward to the upcoming pickleball season, filled with camaraderie and sportsmanship. Thanks to all members for making the past season memorable. Special thanks to Angela and Marcia for their dedication in shaping our vibrant community. With your support, we anticipate a rewarding future season ahead.
